Sosio’s is located in the historic Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. We’re located right in the center of the Market immediately north of Lowell’s Restaurant and right next to Chukar Cherries. We offer high quality fruit and produce from all over the world. We often deal directly with independant local farms for our seasonal items. We carry a wide assortment of products, from your everyday veggie items to the finest fruits and veggies in season.
Sosio’s is a Pike Place Market institution that has been family owned for more than 50 years now. The stand is named after Sosio Manzo, an immigrant farmer who used to sell his own produce on the low tables when the market was still young. The previous owners bought the stand from two brothers and named it after their grandfather, Sosio. When the current owners, Mike Osborn and Alan Stott, had the opportunity to buy the stand a few years ago, they kept the name in tribute to the Manzo family.
Mike and Alan bring more than fifty years of combined produce experience to Sosio’s Produce. Their knowledge of the local and international produce industry is what sets Sosio’s apart from the rest. Our produce is literally the largest and most varied selection in the Pike Place Market. We go to the warehouse every morning to pick out only the freshest produce to display on our stand.
We open every morning at 5:00 a.m. by individually setting up every display. We regularly have more than 120 items for sale and many of them can be sampled upon request. We take great pride in our product knowledge and we will gladly share our favorite recipes whenever we are asked.
We ship our produce all over the country and we pack for travel every day. You simply can’t get produce any fresher or of any higher quality than Sosio’s.
